Since Susan is busy,

I thought that the amended 2014 Manager's Recommended Budget should be published SOMEWHERE before Tuesday's Commission meeting. It is not on the Municipal website, other than on Tuesday's Agenda.

Amendments to the 2014 Manager's Recommended Budget

The final public hearing on the 2014 Budget will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. According to the Commission Agenda, the commissioners will be approving the new budget on the same night.

This is our last opportunity to voice our opinions (not that it matters) about artificial turf and any other Commission revisions to the Manager's Recommended Budget.

Tuesday will be President Matt Kluck's last meeting as a commissioner. He is such a gentleman. I hate to see him go. Good luck, Matt.  Thank you for all your hard work and efforts to keep the Commission grounded.

Where is the $250,000 in revenue from the Brumfield turfers?

Careful, Just Askin'. You don't want to spook them.

Bad news for the Sports Advisory Board.
"The Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS) is notifying districts that their pension costs will rise from 16.9 percent of payroll this school year to 21.4 percent for 2014-15. The Pennsylvania Independent says that rate could change a bit when it's finalized. But 21.4 percent would be the highest “since at least the 1950s.”
PSERS time bomb
How will the school district be able to contribute to the turf maintenance for Middle and Wildcat?

Oh you can be sure they'll find a way to give money to turf.
They'll raise student parking fees, athletic participation fees, lab fees.

SD Pension cost will rise from 16.9% to 21.4% of payroll.
Of course our board math experts choose to raise Tim's salary by 7.5% thus making an even bigger pension hit.
Oh by the way, we also have that teachers grievance no ones talking about. What's 21.4% of another million dollars in payroll?
Terc math anyone?

What Teacher's grievance? Is this just a backdoor pay raise the school board can say was forced on them so the 20% tax increase won't be their fault?

Let's not lose sight that there is the final public hearing on Tuesday for the Municipal budget, which includes designating $637,400 out of the unassigned funds for turfing Middle and Wildcat Fields. I only mentioned PSERS because John Bendel is counting on School District contributions in his Field Enhancement Proposal.

Bendel, Brumfield, Franklin, Donnelan and Fellers won't answer one question asked here.

1. Advertising revenue from field signs belongs to the municipality. The comissiioners have no right to turn over the fences so the YSA/SAB/whatever can make money off them.
2. There should be a deadline for delivery of the non-municipal $250,000.

12:00 PM, I sent this to the commission and copied Steve Feller and Susan Morgans.

"Commissioners,
Thank you for including the amended Manager's Recommended Budget for 2014 on Tuesday's agenda. I was disappointed to see that it was never published anywhere else. No lebomag.com, no mtlebanon.org home page, no leboALERTS, no Twitter, no Facebook, nowhere. I am beginning to pick up on a trend here with our local governments.

For the benefit of our community, I did publish it on lebocitizens.blogspot.com. I have received private emails from my readers where they are thanking me for my efforts to make you folks appear to be transparent. With all the Mt. Lebanon media that is provided through the Public Information Office, one would think the opportunity is there.

As I had mentioned during Citizens Comments at the last meeting, I also posted John Bendel's Field Enhancement Proposal on my blog. It, too, had not been published on any Mt. Lebanon media.

I am not expecting a response.

I'm guessing Susan is busy preparing a lawsuit against you and Kelly Fraasch for conspiracy to defame her and tortious interference with business relations. I hope you've got some money saved to defend that suit, which is undoubtedly forthcoming.

Susan has a right to sue whomever she wants, and she has exercised her right many times. She should also post public documents such as the amended Manager's 2014 Recommended Budget, the Environmental Sustainability Board minutes, which are always turned into her office and any proposals by commissioners as quickly as she did with the YSA Proposal in June 2012.

Perhaps writing such hateful, hurtful, condescending articles in mtl Magazine might also influence advertisers to look elsewhere.

I don't live the lifestyle that the elitists do here in Mt. Lebanon. I guess suing me is one way to get rid of the riff-raff.

OK community... together now let sing the "Sue me, sue you blues" from George Harrison.
That'll serve the community well won't it.

Why would Susan M be suing Kelly F and Elaine?

I wonder what the owners/managers of Costco, the Giant Eagles, Bottom Dollar, and Shop 'n Save think of Susan's portrait of their respective stores and clientele?

Looking for a Westminster Presbyterian lawyer preferably from USC who would defend Elaine.

I wrote at 12:25 PM today, "I am not expecting a response." It looks like I got a response at 1:17 PM.

I'm confused as to why Kelly Fraasch was mentioned.

5:56 PM, thanks for looking out for me. Not necessary, but thank you.

All this for exposing the fact that the Amended Recommended Budget was not published, with PSERS increasing 26.6%, the School District may have a difficult time paying the maintenance fee for Middle and Wildcat, criticizing Susan's article, wondering where the $250,000 is on the budget, and questioning who gets the sign revenue, Susan Morgans is busy preparing a lawsuit against me and Kelly. Gee, is Franklin her attorney?

Sue is not going to sue anybody! The last thing Mt. Lebanon wants is a bunch of TV reporters with their minicams showing up to cover what would undoubtedly be an interesting local story concerning how the PIO was acting like a snob at the expense of neighboring communities. That would do more damage to Mt. Lebanon than a bunch of local bloggers taking offense at her Jr. High School style story in Mt. Lebanon Magazine.

Lebo Citizens said...

I wonder if the litigation fees would come out of the unassigned funds. I hope not. That money is only for turf!

Tomorrow night, it all becomes official. I was hoping that it takes four votes to approve a budget, but it only takes three. It's all over but the crying.

I see Dave B has posted here... AGAIN. Dave if she does file a lawsuit can YOU really afford the attention that it will bring? I'm sure Fox News as well as other Conservative media outlets would be here in a heartbeat. Are you ready for some digging? I don't think so! After Baldwin's meltdown I'd even wager our local liberal media would join in to show how BAD things are here.

Well, what do you know.

This is for amending the 2013 budget. Another one should follow concerning the amendments for the 2014 budget.

Gee, do you think the realtors will hand out Morgans piece on grocery shopping and drive prospective home buyers around to each location.
"here's where the fat immigrants shop"
"here's the best place to get the basics if you're mortgage and property tax poor"
"if you want to look successful and on your way to USC, shop here!"
It could all be combined with the Cedar Blvd. amenities cruise.

It appears that adding quotation marks to the LeboALERT, messes up the link. I received this personal email.

The link you just posted,
http://www.mtlebanon.org/ArchiveCenter/ViewFile/Item/1944", should be
http://www.mtlebanon.org/ArchiveCenter/ViewFile/Item/1944/ (ends in a slash and not a quote - otherwise you'll get a "cannot find" error on the MTL website).

The Pub & Pizza is going to re-open on Castle Shannon Blvd soon. Finally! I hope ONLY "certain" people go there when it opens... We wouldn't want people that shop at Bottom Dollar and Shop N' Save. We would ONLY want people that live in the "right" neighborhoods. And of course we wouldn't want ANYONE from Dormont!!!!! Right Susan? FYI I saw Dave B. shopping at Shop N' Save a couple of weeks ago so is he a "Mt Lebanon Wannabe"?
