Regardless of the results of this poll, the members of the Mt. Lebanon School Board don't give a “Flying Wallenda” about what their critics think, say, or post on a Blog for the simple reason that their critics don't seem to have any clout. But based on what I saw at the meeting last night they certainly know how to take a shot at a Pennsylvania Charter School; in this case the Young Scholars of Western Pennsylvania. Mrs. Posti asked a couple of rhetorical questions about Charter schools and got the answers she expected. As it happens I'm going on a private tour of the facility soon and make my own assessment.
Just have to chime in here one more time... excellent observation Mr. Gideon. The point of which is... Mrs. Posti has illustrated quite well who's backside the board watches out for! Need more proof... generous raises for administrators while year-after-year the board attempts to cut teaching materials and technology budgets by 5%. They're certainly not serving their constituents, otherwise why wouldn't Mrs. Posti ask for an unbiased appraisal of the Charter School. At all cost- defend the status quo, eh Mrs. Posti! I hope you'll post your findings, Richard. Dick Saunders
