Judy, that is a great idea. I think Steve Feller has these coffees two times a year. I believe they are sponsored by the Community Relations Board, the same folks who brought us the forum, "Can We Disagree without Being Disagreeable."
This is from Dr. Steinhauer's blog. "Once a month I meet with high school students for breakfast prior to the start of their school day. This morning was our first meeting. They are student leaders who I expect to have informal conversations about high school and school district issues. Mt. Lebanon is fortunate to have students who are articulate, present themselves well, and are able to express their ideas and opinions in meaningful a constructive ways."
Too bad the Board can't present themselves well and articulate their ideas and opinions in meaningful and constructive ways. Now the Superintendent has the key communicators and the students talking to the community. Too bad the Board and Administrators can't behave the same way. Janet Hook
This is a lovely idea. Perhaps the superintendent would consider doing the same for taxpayers who have no children in school. Judy Richards
