New JMA Amendment signed by Mrs. Dave Franklin

Through a Right To Know, here is the link to the Joint Maintenance Agreement Amendment signed by Timothy Steinhauer and Stacy Franklin, a.k.a. Mrs. Dave Franklin, on August 20, 2012. You may remember how Dave said on August 24, 2012 at 1:11 PM:
I'm not a member of the YSA. I never have been. I actively participate in several associations that are part of and contribute to the YSA, but I have no formal position or voice within the YSA itself. In fact, assertions to the contrary only underscore the misconceptions and frankly the lies that have been published here, not only about me but about the YSA.
Here is part of the amendment showing YSA's contribution being reduced to $23,000.
1. Paragraph 5 of the Agreement is hereby amended by the addition of the following sentence: "For the 2011-2012 school year, YSA's contribution is reduced to $23,000 due to a reduction in the number of fields, and YSA agrees to pay such $23,000 contribution on or before August 31,2012."

  1. That must be some marriage. His wife is the head of the YSA but apparently she never listens to him at the dinner table when he talks about turf! She plugs her ears and says, "NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH".

    That's funny stuff right there.

  2. Technically HIS assertions are correct, but his claims that he has no voice in the YSA is deception at it's best.
Unless of course he and his wife don't speak and YSA proponents are forbidden from reading LeboFields.
Come on Dave, we weren't born yesterday.

  3. Question: the original agreement terminated in July 2012. The terms of that agreement were YSA contributions were $30,000 for 2011-12, right?
OK, they've adjusted that obligation down to $23,000 because of fewer fields. Can live with that.
But the extension just approved picks up from the end of the old contract and goes forward, essentially covering the last 6 months of 2012, right?
So when is the extension payment due?

  5. Dave, what other "lies and misconceptions" about you and the YSA have I published here?

  7. Where has the president of the YSA been regarding the discussion on shoddy bookkeeping and missing monies? When Dr. Steinhauer claimed all obligations were paid, shouldn't the YSA president have stepped forward to correct his error?

  8. Does this mean HS students can park cars down on the fields on Cedar so they don't have to pay that horrible parking fee?

I mean, come on, there's no difference between municipal and school district fields, right? And we want to be able to maximize the field's usage to the best of our ability.

  10. I think we're being a little hard on Mrs. Franklin. That's quite a performance for a Lebo office of holder of two months.
Really I'm not joking. In two months time she's managed to view the JMA, evaluate the numbers and barter/negotiate a reduced rate. Simply incredible and unheard of in the bubble.

Why do I think that, well let's take a look.

Dave Brumfield, commission president and in office for several years, ex-treasurer for a youth sports group (right ?) and attorney sent this reply to Elaine:

"The vast majority of the terms do not effect the municipality. The total amount the school district pays us is our primary concern. That being said the 6 month duration is intended to allow us to examine whether or not a new system should be implemented."

See what I mean, after 14 years of being a partner in the agreement the municipal president thinks he needs another 6 months to evaluate the JMA. Good old Stacy, bless her heart, evaluated, altered and help implement a new agreement in less than two months! Dave, needs 6 more! Guess that's because the field sign thingy is getting in the way, right Dave?

I'm thinking maybe we need Stacy to step in for Posti. PK dropped their possible donation numbers from $30 million to $15 million. Maybe Stacy could get them to rebate the $43,000 study fee! Maybe she could Tim and Jan to freeze their salaries since they only work four days in the summer!
I like leaders that can cut budgets.

  12. I've asked this before and no one answered - if "a vast majority of the terms do not affect the municipality" why has the school district beesending it $87,000 checks every year for the last fourteen years?

    Mr. Brumfield, care to explain?
