Yesterday, Commonwealth Court ruled that voter IDs can be requested but are not necessary for voting in the Nov. 6 election. The judge's decision is "to allow eligible voters to cast their ballot regardless of whether they have photo identification."
Court rules no voter ID at Pa.'s polls Nov. 6 "The devil is in the details, and those details will be litigated after the election at some point."
So get out there and vote!!!
I will personally drive anyone to the DMV to get a photo ID.
ReplyDeleteThis is friggin ludicrous.
To be clear, the law has been found constitutional. The problem this judge is citing is that 6 weeks is not long enough to allow those who do not have proper ID to get one.
ReplyDeleteNext year, assuming the Rs still control the house, this law will be intact and in effect.
Unfortunately for some, that might be one election too late.
12:16 PM, that is most generous of you. How does one get in touch with you?

Why in the world does the headline say "Yea"? This is not good for those who want to avoid voter fraud. Are you in favor of voter fraud?
ReplyDeleteDead people can't get a voter ID. But it is nice to see this blog is in favor of something.
