They added the parking lot!!!!!!

A Lebo Citizens reader emailed me these photos, along with this note.

Thought you might be interested to know someone sneakily dropped an envelope off at my doorstep within the past hour containing the below 2 page document. Notice the project area now includes the parking lot.

Here is a copy of the Notice of Intent (NOI) also known as the NPDES permit application.

Also, a copy of the Post Construction Stormwater Management Plan (PCSM) is here.

  1. Can we get a copy of the NPDES permit so we know if the lots are included for staging or for actual construction of a lot?

  2. "The turf project" does not include the parking lot in any legal or permitting sense ! It involves only 2.7 acres of the Middle/Wildcat fields.

What the hell is Gateway up to now ? Is this a rogue enterprise running roughshod on the Commission, administration and the taxpayers of Mt. Lebanon ?

  3. 7:39 PM, I added the link to the NPDES permit application, also known as the Notice of Intent (NOI), at the bottom of this post.

  4. I might as well add the Post Construction Stormwater Management (PCSM Plan). Use both of these when reading the comments and responses included with the permit that Mt. Lebanon received yesterday.

Am I giving you enough facts?

  5. **** Gateway Engineering. Time to fine a new Commission, clean house and toss them all out. Enough!

  6. Wards 1,3 and 5 are up for election. Think about who represents your point of view!

  7. Probably using the parking lot for a contractors staging area for the turf project. There will be no need for the parking lot for local sports team members and families cars during the three month construction period.

  8. We should put up a vote in the next election to change all references to Mt. Lebanon in the Home Rule to Mt. Apathy.
Now that would be really politically correct.

  9. 11:40 PM, I have some readers who are sticklers for facts. Do you have the facts to back your statement? Isn't Dixon going to be used in October? And what about the area on the other side of Wildcat? Is that needed for a staging area as well? We're strip mining, not building a high rise. How large of a staging area is necessary?

  10. I'm pretty sure when they turf the and then returfed it recently all the staging was pretty much done within the confines of the stadium.
That is I don't remember a lot of use of space around the stadium used for staging.
I'll stand corrected if anyone has contrary evidence.

  11. You know now that the turf is going in, I don't believe I've heard any definitive plans for how the as-promised private commitment for its maintenance and replacement Is going to be delivered and available in 8 years.
So have we as a community bought yet another a pig-in-the-poke.

  12. Elaine, you may have a lot of readers who are sticklers for the facts, but most are probably no-shows at public meetings, are anonymous in communications and probably don't know what ward they live in, who their commissioner is or have ever contacted them.

  13. Ya know those pretend parking spaces along Cedar next to Wildcat? I'll be Gateway doesn't think those are sufficient spaces for the turf installers so they are reserving the parking lots for safety reasons. Starbuck coffee will probably be delivered, too.

I just want to see the guys in the hazmat suits spraying the crumb rubber all over the fields. That will be an image, I'll never forget. If someone could please post it here when that occurs, I'd really appreciate it.

  14. 7:43 PM Unless you are physically handicapped and unable to do so, why don't you go watch and take photos of the infill being applied to the artificial turf grass ?

Elaine particularly and many bloggers have spent countless hours developing information and documents, attending meetings, e-mail exchanges, etc. that ultimately appear on this blog. How about a little help ! We're all busy, have other work to do, family commitments, bills to pay.

  15. From what i see and hear,, the new educated, liberal, freerange chickenloving, crossfitter lebo citizens... are so into themselves and just pulls the Democratic lever.. since most lebo citizens dont attend any meetings.. they have NO idea how incomp these commissioners actually are...
