Wonder if we'll hunt down the perps with bow & arrow?
ReplyDeleteGood god, do you folks hide in your homes, with your phones? Do you need Lebo alerts to tell you what to do? How did you live prior to computers?
ReplyDeleteApparently we must need those directive LeboAlerts, otherwise how would know where to get those gift cards?
ReplyDeleteAlert from 12/16...
"Mt. Lebanon Community Endowment offers gift cards which donate $25-$100 to the local charity of the giftee's choice. Details: rkang@mtlebanonendowment.org"
Now there's a real pressing emergency everyone needs to be notified of..
Don’t bother sending Ruby Kang an email inquiring about any information relating to the LeboAlert, you might get a reply like this:
ReplyDelete"I respectfully request that you please send all correspondences and inquiries to Joseph King, President of the Board or Audrey Bode, Executive Director of Mt. Lebanon Community Endowment.
Thank you,
R. Kang"

You forgot the old Iron & Glass bank robbery not too long ago on Castle Shannon Blvd. Sorry I forget the new bank name. But let's hope it's the same idiot and he's caught before someone gets hurt especially one of our cops.
ReplyDeleteMaybe those robberies were committed by permitless MTL bow hunters. Have to put meat on the table somehow.
ReplyDelete7:33 pm - MtL tax payers pay good money for LeboAlerts - they should be useful and timely. If they cannot function properly, they shouldn't exist. This isn't a matter of how stupid we are.
ReplyDeleteSo, 7:33, you want the Lebo alerts to be staffed 24/7 so you can pay someone from your tax dollars to follow the news and send you an alert?
ReplyDelete1:17 just what is the purpose of the alerts?
ReplyDeleteIf there is a dangerous, perhaps armed felon heading into your neighborhood wouldn't you want to be alerted.
Here's a question for you, how does almost every college and university send out alerts whether they be water main breaks, weather advisories, robberies, etc., to students and their parents at home. They do it 24/7.
Why do Community Endowment Gift Card advertisements rise to alert levels? It is absurd.
Why do I need a gift card to send a donation to a charity? Have you ever met a charity that would not cash your check?
ReplyDeleteThis is a bit off topic and perhaps a little crazy, but could it be within the realm of possibilities that the reason the turf private donor names aren't being released is because one of the donors is the Community Endowment?
ReplyDeleteLet's imagine they were $10,000 or $20,000 short. The endownment ponies up the shortage because they immediately get it back in their handling fee.
Hey, sorry for the conspiracy theory, but I put nothing past this group.
Interesting comments at the end of this Trib article.
