Oh, not a Bentley!

There was a three car accident on Friday afternoon at the crosswalk in front of Washington School. The first car stopped for a pedestrian crossing at the crosswalk, when two cars failed to stop and hit the first car. The Bentley seemed to be impacted the most. No pedestrians or deer were at fault. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

Ouch! That's gonna cost a lot.

  1. Isn't that Susan Morgans' Bentley?

  2. I think we should blame it on the deer, Obama, George W Bush, Donald Trump, Megan Kelly, and the alignment of Pluto with my knees.

  3. I was outside in the parking lot adjacent to Washington crosswalk with this collision occurred. The pedestrian was safely crossing when a very loud bang from the collision could be heard. I'm pretty sure the first 2 cars were stopped and the Bentley just hammered them. I believe Susan drives a BMW and it wasn't the former Chief McDonough either -- he drove down the road in an infinity with PA plates shortly after the accident. And I don't think it was the intern/management analyst because his car has Nebraska plates. Any other suspects?

  4. I was just on Lakemont, near St. Clair Hospital and saw a bunch of "Drive like your kids live here" signs. I rounded the bend and saw a great sign. "Drive like you aren't an idiot."

  5. Did you get a chance to find out WHERE they got the "Drive Like You're Not an Idiot" sign? We should have those posted ALL OVER THIS COMMUNITY! Since we know that we have twice the national average of pedestrian/vehicle accidents, does that mean that our Commissioners want us to believe that our pedestrians are twice as stupid as the national average? Actually, I guess they have to blame the pedestrians who are hit by cars for their fate: if they blamed the drivers for hitting people, how could they not hold them responsible for hitting our deer? So, there you have it. Our drivers ARE fine. We just have really stupid pedestrians and deer. But, then, WHY do we keep having these vehicle/vehicle pile-ups? I guess we need another study--

  6. The sign looked like they made it themselves, Barbara.

  7. We can't officially alter the signs. I contacted the company to see if a "drive like deer live here" sign could be made and distributed and the official response was "no, sorry". Only homemade signs like "drive like your aren't a jagoff" are ok for now.
