I have been trying to catch up on all my emails and found this very disturbing admission.

Thanks for reaching out. I am happy to let you know that Chris Double is not one of our program hunters. We are starting with a very small group this year and there are more hunters who already hunt the township than we have in our program. We have no control over the hunting that is already legally taking place within the township.

Please let me know if I can help in any way.

Best,

Vickie DeNicola

Update September 21, 2015 10:09 AM What could possibly go wrong? A Lebo Citizens reader discovered a camper on private property near the golf course, while on a search for tree stands last night. The young man was unaware of any archery activities that were going to begin this morning. The Lebo Citizen reader reported this discovery to the police last night. As of this morning, the camper was still there.

  1. Elaine:

The 50 yd. rule for legal hunts eliminates most of Mount Lebanon.

  2. I think that, for a number of reasons favorable to them, DeNicola and Jody say that to every town they contaminate. Oh, sure. There are tons of people already hunting in Lebo. NOT.

  3. Around playgrounds, schools, nursery schools or day-care centers, the safety zone remains 150 yards.

When applied to properly licensed [archery deer
hunters within any special area designated by commission
regulations or any area making use of any special permit
issued in accordance with this title or commission
regulations] persons hunting with bow and arrow or crossbow ,

or other building or camp occupied by human beings or any

In Lebo, it looks like the safety zone remains 150 yards for archery.
Archers commonly carry a firearm to dispatch wounded game.
The 1000 foot gun free school zone law could be an issue for them.

  4. The cops who are killing in the public spaces (so we are told) will definitely carry heat, along with crossbows.

  5. Wait a minute. I am thinking as I write this so please bear with me. Why is the muni keeping the private property list hidden? It really isn't because they think that the non-killers will sabotage those properties. Who would go near those properties? Not I. Not you. The reason we have told the muni that we need those addresses is for the greater good, the safety of all, especially our kids who must walk (no buses) to and from school everyday. What is the muni's real reason for keeping the private hunting locations a state secret? I don't know the answer. I have a theory or two. But, I would love to hear what others are thinking. Thanks.

  6. If the cops are off-duty they would definitely need advance permission from Dr. Timmy before encroaching on the gun-free school zone.

  7. Well, there is a fine line between off duty weapon carrying and on-duty weapon carrying. Could they argue successfully that the cops are carrying their guns for "public safety" reasons? I don't know the answer.

Also, you can be certain that every one of Jody's yahoos with a crossbow is also equipped with a gun. I guarantee that much. These are the type of guys who don't go out to dinner without their guns Of course, they will be carrying when at an archery hunt. I think this is one reason why the private properties have not been disclosed. Those properties contain secrets.

  8. Just a thought but possibly the private, residential properties are those of the most vocal, pro kill folks-the ones who want this killing the most.
