  1. I learned that the yellow bag is called a "dry bag," used by hunters as a scent blocker. Ugh.

  2. The archer also pulled out a very large cross bow.

  3. OK, that's weird. There is no mention of Tony DeNicola for tonight's Commission Discussion Session. No mention of future discussions of deer management listed either. Hmm. I wonder what that means.

  5. This guy better be a police officer. If he isn't, then he is a poacher. Watching the commission video from last night (21:15), McGill stated that all archers are police officers, even the ones for Twin Hills.

  6. All the archers are cops? THAT makes me feel much better. These archers will all have guns, as well.

  7. I can't make out the decals on the rear window of the truck. Anyone ?

  8. N., all archers IN THE PARKS are off duty police officers, according to Keith McGill. This goes for Beverly Road archer. If he isn't then he is a poacher. Or Mt. Lebanon is not living up to their agreement with Scott Township.
12:53, I can't tell what the truck decals are either. My guess is that they have to do with hunting.

  9. Elaine--

I assumed that the archers/cops were off-duty. I've never known a cop (and I know a lot of them) who isn't always armed with a gun when outside of his/her home.

  10. I am sure of one thing. The Beverly Road archer's truck does not have a decal saying, "Feel the Bern."

  11. According to What You Need To Know, Mt. Lebanon's FAQs, "All hunters in Mt. Lebanon’s program will carry identification."

I don't know anyone who would be brave enough to question someone holding a cross bow. Do you?

  12. A cross bow AND a gun, in the case of the cops/archers. Amy Castor's case made one thing clear. If you say anything to a hunter here, Blaise will cut off your arms and legs. He's nuts.

  13. Maybe he is a private hunter....for Twin Hills Park.

  14. http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2016/10/06/beloved-deer-killed-by-poacher-posing-as-contractor/

Bethel Park is looking for a poacher who falsely claimed to have a contract to kill deer there.
