On behalf of the Commission, President Dave Brumfield issued an apology at last night's meeting over the launching of fireworks from Mt. Lebanon Cemetary on July 4, 2012.
56 comments, most of them calling people trolls or children or pompous asses, about the decision to have the fireworks at the cemetery. 1 comment thus far--and a negative one, of course--about the apology.
Can't even acknowledge when somebody does something right? This blog and its commenters have become a parody.
I am glad that you find this so entertaining. I acknowledged that the apology was the right thing to do when I took the time to take the sound byte from the podcast, upload it, and had it available to hear without having to sit through the entire recording. Thanks for reading and commenting on my blog. You are proof that I publish all opinions, not just the ones who agree with me. Elaine
No one said the apology wasn't the right thing to do 7:38. To reiterate, it was just the right thing, but it would have meant so much more if their was some mention that the commissioners will look for another venue or to make some accommodation for families in the future.
If you make your kid apologize for hitting their little brother, they do and then fifteen minutes later does the same thing do you think the apology was sincere?

No mention of what they'll do about next year?
ReplyDeleteGuess it'll be fireworks-apology, fireworks-apology until the high school project is completed.
Aren't you supposed to learn from your mistakes?
ReplyDeleteSurely we can do better next year.
Did I hear that right...that Commissioner Brumfield said "kick ass" fireworks display? Are you kidding me?
