This is our day, ladies! The one day that our kids and husbands recognize our tireless efforts. The pay stinks, but the rewards are great.
It is also Baby Deer Month. From the Green Tree website:
MESSAGE FROM ANIMAL CONTROL
It is now May, which is Baby Deer month!
Fawns should start dropping anytime now, we remind residents that mother deer stay away from their fawns during the day and feed only at night. If a fawn is found PLEASE LEAVE IT ALONE as Mom will be looking for it at night.
Also important - Mother Deer are not overly appreciative of dogs this time of year and, yes, Mom can become very aggressive towards furball.
Please be alert and check back yards and along wood lines for baby deer. It is not the policy of Animal Control to remove fawns, in certain circumstances we will try to relocate to safer areas near where they are found. Deer are protected under State Game Laws.
