Her shoes melted.

Last time I had one of these was two years ago. Call it my meltdown I guess this is "Call it my meltdown 2.0." A friend sent me another article about the dangers of artificial turf. Is Artificial Turf Safe for Your Children? Jenny Chamberlain, a Los Angeles mother, avoids artificial turf because her child's shoes kept melting from the heat that artificial turf gives off.

Turf companies claim artificial turf is safe because kids don’t ingest the crumb rubber. Chamberlain, however, doesn’t buy it because she has seen kids drop an orange, brush it off and eat it—putting them at risk of exposure. Kids also fall on the ground constantly in sports and risk ingesting the crumb rubber that way, too.
Yet, the SAB AHs all think that our concerns are "much ado about nothing." Watch the SAB video and you can see them all nod in agreement with the SAB AH who made that statement. I tried to inform the community about how we are being bullied, but the bullies won. [See Call it my meltdown.]

I wrote to Manager Steve Feller, and copied the police chief, PIO, commissioners, and Rep. Dan Miller today asking when the public was going to be told about the archery program extension being denied and heard nothing back from Mr. Feller. In a Mt. Lebanon Google alert, I learned that Matt Santoni asked the same question. At least he got an answer. Mt. Lebanon awaits formal letter nixing extended deer season In the meantime, Kristen Linfante's favorite paint experts have signs near their registers promoting deer culling. They couldn't say no to the three pushy women who were approaching Washington Road storefronts. I tried to inform the community about how we are being bullied, but the bullies won. [See Call it my meltdown.]

Speaking of Kristen Linfante, I saw this on Facebook tonight.

I was reminded of this Lebo Citizens comment

Mrs. Linfante won't give up her elephant ivory bow. She considers it an extension of her arm. http://www.post-gazette.com/news/environment/2015/01/18/How-tiny-bits-of-ivory-snare-symphony-musicians-crossing-borders/stories/201501180065
Kristen is just itching to have the deer killed with that loathsome slaughterhouse killing method called trap and bolt. Why would she ever want to give up her viola bow when she travels outside of the country? I tried to inform the community about how we are being bullied, but the bullies won. [See Call it my meltdown.]

I really need a vacation from this place. It is a horrible place to be right now.

Elaine: Kudos to you for running this blog! The bullies have never won by no means!!! I applaud you many times over for informing the community updateds on so many issues with the School Board and Municipal issues! Thank you so much!

Elaine, indeed needs a pat on the back, but she can't do it alone. She is not our mother.
We need to get involved, write our commissioners, volunteer for boards, and begin finding viable candidates that represent our views.
Blogging and protest don't seem to work though aparently they do for some people since after the "What the Kluck" town hall conversations seemed to die.

It's a shame that Kristen and the bullies force you to live here. If only there were someplace else to go.

9:01 AM aren't you the snarky one !

9:38 I sure am. I also don't believe that Mt. Lebanon is perfect or its leaders beyond criticism. However, an adult who is bullied has choices and one of those choices is to move away from the big meanies who probably wouldn't be so mean if Elaine didn't host a site that advocated and cultivated comments that often amount to little more than name calling (i.e., her own bullying).

Good one 9:01 except for the fact that Elaine was here and a wonderful community existed in Lebo long before Linfante ever arrived.

Why did Kristen move here if she didn't like the community that was already in place? Why build "your own" community? Purs wasn't good enough?

It would be interesting to see if she was part of the crew that lead to the failure of the San Jose Symphony and analyze if she may be working her magic here.

""I've found that you have to work a little harder to make your own community when you weren't born here[mtl]," adds Linfante, a professional freelance violist who moved here when her husband took a seat with the Pittsburgh Symphony."

Which came first 9:01/10:30?
I don't seem to remember Elaine making snide comments and snickering at school board meeting as Linfante spoke at the podium.
As for your comment that Elaine should pick up and move if she doesn't like it here.
Why don't you if you don't like her blog!!!

Typical low intelligence liberal mindset. "Youve lived here 20 years. I moved in last week but let me dictate how you'll live from this point on. If you dont like it, move somewhere else".
If only there were communities where artificial turf already existed so all the has-been sport fatties, er, daddys could relocate
.hmm...and if only there other communities that embraced the twisted leftist ideology. Say Kristen, do you know the way to San Jose?

And how dare you, Elaine. I cant believe you have gall to exercise your Constitutional right of free expression. What are you thinking? Dont even get me started on transparency. None of the taxpayers deserve or need to know where their money is being burned.

To the smartass who posted about being an adult--one of your options as an adult is to stop reading this blog and go on your merry way. Feel threatened, do you? Afraid of the truth? Yeah, you should be.

10:30 that's your answer for anyone that doesn't like Linfante and her bullies!
'Tuck your tail between your legs and go hide cower in a corner somewhere.'

Well, I'm not going to do that and I suspect Elaine isn't going to do it either. So kiss my ass.

You have three choices, learn to cooperate and live together as a community, continue to fight like cats and dogs or you can move.

Take your pick, Elaine, I and others will be here.

this is in response to the comments made by 10:30.

Mike Madison nailed it in his comment about Linfante's comment.

The Lance is priceless too.

I hope more people realize that it's not them -- it's the pride-driven culture of arrogance, ignorance and greed that is creating dissatisfaction in Mt Lebanon.

Sigh.....doesn't matter where you live. Every town has it's share of bullies! It's learned behavior, will always be socially unacceptable, uncompromising, unreasonable, and completely dysfunctional.
We reasonable people can choose not to buy in to the abuse, etc....and make better choices in how to respond to them. : )
