Warning From a Lebo Citizens Reader

7 tickets given at No.Meadowcroft/Newburn in one month!

I was told about this page on the Mount Lebanon website yesterday (thanks for the tip) - Wow!
If you pass by this intersection, wave to the young cop who is camped near there lying in wait! And be sure to come to a COMPLETE 🛑 STOP!
Big and QUICK money maker! $142.00 for each unsuspecting Sucker - approximately $1000 this past month alone - at ONE intersection!
Look too, and caution at the other highly ticketed corner on Beverly! >9 (actually 15) at the corner of Beverly/Overlook (crossing guard area)!

Thanks for the heads-up! I HATE these ticket scams just to make money. I think some police departments are on a quota system to mug residents for minimal reasons. Like we all don't have enough real problems and expenses to deal with. Not only are these tickets expensive, but they jack up your auto insurance policies for years.

Another heads-up. If you have insomnia and are up late (between 1am - 3am) and decide to drive to an all night grocery or drug store to get a few things you need, be very careful. Use your blinkers when changing a lane, even if no other cars on the road. Follow all driving rules, i.e. the Lebo police will pull you over for the smallest infraction to check you out. They think that anyone driving in Mt. Lebanon after 1am is suspicious and a likely suspect.

And of course, don't ever go for a joy ride through Virgina Manor after dark even if to look at the Christmas lights. I took my mom for a drive through VM once to look at the Christmas lights and got pulled over by the Lebo police. Me and my 80 yr. old mom. I think VM and the other higher income areas of Lebo get some extra police protection.

As a resident who lives near a stop sign which is very often treated as a mere warning to slow down just a bit by many drivers, I cannot get worked up by a police officer staking out a certain intersection. I would much rather see those tickets handed out for safety's sake than the profiling of late-night drivers.

Kim, at least once a week, I see someone run that stop sign.
