Conor Lamb, did you happen to catch what was used to kill four people? We had Mondays with Murphy. We have Where's Rothfus? Wednesdays now. I wonder which day of the week will be chosen for your office.

March on Washington Road this Friday, April 20 UPDATED

From the Municipality:
Students from our community will be joining students from across the nation in a March for Change this Friday (19th year anniversary of Columbine). They will be congregating at Washington Elementary, marching on the sidewalks along Washington to Clearview Common. At Clearview I expect they will make some remarks and/or speeches.
Washington Road will NOT be closed and we do not anticipate any parking being utilized at this point. Following are some details:
-start time of 4:30pm at Washington Elementary
- students, parents and community members will be encouraged to walk to the area of Washington Elementary School and Clearview Commons Park.
- participants will utilize the sidewalks and are encouraged to follow all pedestrian safety regulations.
- Alfred Street (next to Clearview Commons) will be closed to vehicles between Washington Road and Parse Way beginning at 4:30pm and will remain closed until the conclusion of the event.
- Washington Road will remain open to vehicles throughout the event.
- MLPD Officers will be detailed to the areas of Clearview Commons and Washington Elementary School to ensure the safety of all participants, as well as ensure the uninterrupted flow of vehicle and non-participating pedestrian traffic in the area.
- if necessary due to safety concerns, Police Officers may close the single northbound lane of Washington Road closet to the curb in the areas of Clearview Commons and Washington Elementary School (this will create a safety buffer between the vehicles traveling northbound in the center lane and the event participants). Both southbound travel lanes will always remain open.
- event will conclude by 7:30pm

March For Our Lives #Never Again UPDATED 5:58 PM
Signs for today's march, courtesy of a neighbor.
On Monday, our commissioners are passing Resolution 4-18 supporting Mt. Lebanon High School Students. On that note, the final report of deer being killed by high powered rifles which recommends starting to shoot while children are either walking home from school or are still in school next year has been posted on the municipal website.
We'll see how many support Ray Linsenmayer, the ONLY candidate running for Congress who supports Assault Weapons Ban Legislation.
Update March 24, 2018 5:58 PM This is for the people who say, "It's foolish to think that voting for an anti gun candidate in the primary will help." This is for the people who think that young people don't care. This is for people who think that young people can't make a difference. This is for people who want to have high powered rifles discharged in a community that pretends to be anti-gun. This is for the commissioners who pass resolutions which state:
And then consider extending "sharpshooting with high powered rifles" hours to seven days a week, starting at 3:00 PM and ending at midnight. This is for candidates running for Congress who will not ban AR-15 weapons. I dare you to watch this and not start crying.

Subject: Information Regarding Unsubstantiated Threat
Reply-To: "Mr. Brian R. McFeeley, Principal - Mt. Lebanon HS" <noreply@mtlsd.net>
Earlier today, the high school administration received information from two students about an alleged verbal threat against the school. The Mt. Lebanon Police and school administration immediately investigated the alleged threat and it was determined to be not only non-credible but the verbal statement was unsubstantiated. Although unsubstantiated, I share this information in the spirit of maintaining open lines of communication during these sensitive times regarding safety and security in our schools in the event your son/daughter heard a rumor about this.
As always, please feel free to contact me or any of the Unit Principals if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Brian R. McFeeley
Principal
