I am in shock. I had no idea. I never win anything! Is there someone out there who can tell me more about this award? I don't know who to thank. Oh my gosh, I am so excited! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

You deserve recognition for all your hard work and effort to support important and necessary dialogue in Mt. Lebanon. When your other efforts to affect change in our community hit brick walls, you became more creative and reached to the social media for a solution. Trying to do the right thing comes from within; we both know conviction has its price. Just always remember, you have made a difference here!

OK, Lebo Citizens was nominated for the Most Valuable Blogger Award in the Local Affairs category. I didn't win, but still honored to be nominated. I am glad that people outside of the bubble are watching the shenanigans going on here in Mt. Lebanon.
I see that Sadie Stang's blog, "pj's and clay and autism..oh my" was nominated in the Lifestyle and Family category. Tom Moertel had written about Sadie, another blogger holding the School District accountable, in a October 26, 2010 post. Congratulations, Sadie!

Congradulations Lebo Citizens...indeed the podcasts are jewels. Especially the vintage ones. Having the podcasts for folks to listen to are priceless and no one can forget what was said as years go by. If anyone has old school board meetings DVD'd or DVR'd let Elaine know so they can be put on as a podcast. I encourage everyone to listen to the old podcasts of school board meetings. Sue Dixon
