What's good for the gander, is good for the goose

Word on the street is that Dr. Steinhauer is looking at cutting salaries. I sure hope he starts with hmself. Just do a search for all the posts I have made regarding Steinhauer & Co. receiving salary increases. Also, search the words "fiscal responsibility" and one gets eight pages of articles.  What about the strategic plan facilitator hired to assist Dr. Tim, the Owner's Liaison to assist Dr. Tim, and the ever popular feasibility study for fundraising suggested by Dr. Tim? I am not a math wiz, but I do see the common denominator.

Dr. Lane just turned down a board-approved $15,000 raise because of her plans to close schools and lay off teachers.

“I told them I was asking people to do some really hard things and I couldn’t be in a place where I could ask them to do things I wasn’t willing to do myself,” Dr. Lane said.

From the P-G link quoted above:

Dr. Linda Lane of Pittsburgh Public Schools makes the most of all at $200,000.

However, Dr. Lane just turned down a board-approved $15,000 raise because of her plans to close schools and lay off teachers.

“I told them I was asking people to do some really hard things and I couldn’t be in a place where I could ask them to do things I wasn’t willing to do myself,” Dr. Lane said.

So Dr. Lane is taking a salary freeze at $200,000 per year while school employees and teachers lose their jobs and employee benefits. If she couldn't be in a place where she asked others to do things she wasn't willing to do herself, why didn't she cut her salary and benefits?

Sorry, been gone for a while.
Regarding the Pursuant Ketchum feasibility study on revenue generating.
Did I miss the conversation with the community as to whether anyone wants to pimp our community's centerpiece to any "john" with an open checkbook?
I can see it now Hostess Trinkie Stadium. Zig Zag Rolling Papers Library. Perrier Sparkling Waters Pool. The possibilities are endless.
And if naming rights don't generate sufficient revenue, we can start covering our teacher's with sponsor logos like one of those NASCAR racing suits. It'd be great university logos, Starbucks, Apple (they have tons of money) logos in plain sight for a captured audience, advertisers ought to love the idea.

Hey Giffen, welcome back. Did you hear how the YMCA is working with the Penguins to buy Bladerunners in Bethel Park? We should have tried to work some kind of sweet deal like that with our 21st century sports facility or science wing or bridge!
