Tree stands in McNeilly Park
It was brought to my attention yesterday that a tree stand, which is used for hunting, was spotted in McNeilly Park. I reported that to a commissioner yesterday. I didn't contact MY commissioner due to her passion for killing deer. The police located two tree stands this morning in McNeilly Park. It was confirmed by Public Works, about an hour ago, that the tree stands have been removed. Thanks to all for your quick response concerning this matter.

Two tree stands, someone is either spotting deer, but why would you, if your not allowed to shoot a weapon in Lebo or someone is engaged in illegal hunting. Shouldn't they have tried to catch who ever own the stands?
There several tree stands in Twin Hills Park when I visited there a number of years ago. Perhaps Scott Twp. zoning, which rules, permits such ?
10:56 AM is right---Twin Hills is owned by Mt. Lebanon thanks to a stupid move by some former officials, but the land remains in Scott. Now that's scary.
Elaine, your commissioner did say in the Commissioners Meeting there are guns being fired in Mt. Lebanon already.

Men in separate accidents weren't wearing harnesses, officials say.

Mississippi's first two hunting fatalities of the season occurred on the same day after men who weren't wearing safety harnesses fell from tree stands, officials said.
"It's the most dangerous piece of equipment a hunter can use," said Major Steve Adcock of the state Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. "We have more injuries with tree stands every year than anything else. If you climb a tree enough, you're going to fall, if you don't wear a harness."
At least someone found a use for McNeilly Park!

Gee maybe The republican cmmittee could learn something from the deer issue.
Species flourish where they find the things they like to live on. For republicans it's the Republican Principals like smaller government and fewer taxes.
Sorry James, but conservative republicans in Mt. Lebanon are an endangered species so it'll be hard to find any. Think they all left for USC and the North Hills.
I figured something was up when kept seeing RINOs traipsing through the woods.

There is a stand and bow hunting going on in the scott conservancy kain woods area. Behind the JJC and Temple Emanuel. I saw a guy with a bow and I climbed up on a tree stand. There are houses close by. Its crazy.
