A full set of specifications for the Wildcat Turf Project was obtained through a Right To Know. The requester has graciously offered to share it with Lebo Citizens readers here. Vasco Full Set of Specifications
Anyone who has knowledge of contracts, construction, bids, etc., please review the documentation. Dave Brumfield told the requester that he never looked at it. Boy, does that have a familiar ring. Think Ewing and Kubit. Allegedly, Kristen Linfante and John Bendel reviewed it with Gateway. Kelly Fraasch was not privy to it. Nothing from Steve Silverman.
What better way to spend Thanksgiving weekend than by reading 555 pages of a Right To Know?
Happy Thanksgiving!

Lord knows Feller never read it. Such work is beneath him. Remember the pool bidding and construction?
Speaking of Feller and municipal construction, does anyone know why we have to spend $200,000 repairing the facade on the new Public Safety Building? $200,000!
10:53 PM, Yeah, the building work was crap, roof, windows, facade leaked from day one - there was a 2 year warranty which Manager Feller never followed up on in spite of years of unattended problems and complaints. Situation only exposed about 18 months ago. Feller should have been fired, but the commission majority like a feckless *leader*.
Believe the general contractor for the Public Safety Center construction project fiasco the same as for the high school project still underway, likely over budget and 6 months late..change orders, anyone ?
Certainly it can't need a new roof already. Its only ten years old!
Why was Kelly Fraasch not allowed to be privy to it?
9:27, I don't believe that was an accurate statement regarding Kelly not being privy to the contract. More than 1 commissioner did email me back stating: "The Commission has access to all contract documents."
One thing I learned though, it's one thing to have access and another thing to actually take the time to review it. As my Ward 4 representative replied to me: "I did not review it. I left that to our engineer and solicitor. I do not know if others did."

I guess fencing wasn't included in the contract, right? That must be a forthcoming change order.
Nick, as you know Kristen wrote:
The commission always has access to all contracts and materials. The commission is not permitted to meet all at once without a public meeting being called, so we did not meet collectively to discuss the contract. Mr. Bendel and I did meet with Mr. Deiseroth and Mr. Feller, but I do not recall the date. I cannot speak for my other colleagues.
Best regards,
Kristen Linfante
Kelly Fraasch followed up with an email stating that she was not aware of commissioners meeting with Deiseroth and Feller and asked for a meeting ASAP. Kelly was left out of the loop on this too, Nick.

It VERY simple why Brummie didn't read the contract... It didn't have enough pictures! Makes you think a less of Duke Law School doesn't it?
That would make sense Elaine because when Kristen also replied with "Knowing the support that the project has by 4 commissioners, I have no concern that the additional changes will be an issue."
So in Kristen's mind, since they have overwhelming support by all but 1, why communicate with the 1 who doesn't support us?
I wonder if Kristen realizes that she alienates a large group of taxpaying residents with that type of thinking (attitude)...maybe she doesn't care.

I guess this applies to our municipal and school district employees.

You would think an attorney would be interested in reading the contract. He never read anything negative about tire crumb rubber infill either.

Commissioner Dumbfield does selective reading for selective memory. It goes with and seems appropriate for ambulance chasing. He's a strong advocate of "don't confuse me with the facts, my minds made up". And he wants to eventually be a judge.
I find it funny when people say that Brummie wants to be a Judge when he has stated numerous times that he wants to follow in his best buddies footsteps. The best buds are Miller and Smith. Once they move up Brummie hopes to jump right in there. Question... Will stupid Democrats vote for him? So far they have proven Gruber correct and voters are STUPID!
Dumbfield can't hold a candle to either Smith or Miller. About the only thing he is capable of in wanting to follow them is to be their shoe shine boy.
