One of many lies.
Full disclosure. I am not in building construction. I am just writing about what I learned from the 9/10/12 Construction Update. First, P.J. Dick representative, Mr. Berkebile, explained that 5 columns sank one inch. Dr. Steinhauer corrected him to say that the columns did not sink but the bolt connections sank. Berkebile agreed. He mentioned that CEC inspected the bolt connections and welds. Berkebile said that the base plates should have been shimmed but were not. Now the building is out of plumb. They are checking with the wood floor manufacturer to make sure that the warranty is intact. What? It is going to be out of plumb? So if you roll a basketball, it will roll towards the part that was not shimmed? SO THERE WAS SOMETHING SINKING!!! Posti, how dare you mock your constituents! How arrogant of you to blog about rumors! You really need to go.

What, eveythings square, plumbed, but they have to negotiated with the floor manufacturer on a floor that is months away from being installed!
What are they negotiating, " please forgive us but our building is perfect so you better honor your warranty."

Did the Celli drawings show the necessity of shims ? Where was the on-site supervision, inspection, the CM, Celli's structural engineering consultant, JoPo & her 8 Dwarfs ?

Doesn't anyone find this odd. In an earlier post someone compared the high school project to a home remodeling. Would you in a meeting with you contractor correct him when he was talking about a problem? Sure here's the transcript from the conversation:
Contractor: "We had a little problem, your florets sank 1".
You the homeowner: "oh, that's OK don't you mean the blocks settled a little bit!"
Who the hell s this guy working for? Us or PJDick?

You would correct the contractor if you had already had the conversation. And that, dear readers (and those worried about anonymity) is the crux of the problem with the school board. All the information regarding the high school project, contrary to assertions regarding national security, should be public. But the fact is, it's not. Decisions are being made behind the scenes. Why? Why are discussions taking place without public input? That's the question at hand. So yes, to call them crooks is accurate. Our school board is in violation of the very rules and regulations the state has established to grant school boards their authority. If someone in our community doesn't see a problem with that, I ask them to please stay home on election day.
7:09 except for public comments and the response (where the misinformation usually surfaces if you listen closely) I suspect these meeting are pretty well choreographed.
