Trying to dodge liability?

I am forwarding an email that Chris Wolfson sent to Mellon Families yesterday. Interestingly, Keith McGill was warned in an email the day before that shooting in private yards is particularly reckless. Lebo school kids are known to cut through yards to and from school. They're kids.

Notice that Wolfson only refers to cutting through yards as they walk HOME from school. I wonder why he doesn’t include AM, as well? We all know why.

Have any other Mt. Lebanon school principals sent out crap like this? They think this is the way to dodge liability. It doesn't work that way.

Good Afternoon Mellon Families:
We've received a few complaints about Mellon students cutting through people's yards/property as they walk home from school.  We will be asking students via the morning announcements to refrain from cutting through people's property during their walk.  I would appreciate it if you could reinforce this with your child.  We strive to be good neighbors around the school community.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation,
Chris Wolfson
Principal

Does a good neighbor hire killers to kill deer ?

To be clear, the commissioners hired killers and OUR tax dollars are funding it. The "good neighbors" are just users.

Unbelievable. Wow. Don't cut through because u might be SHOT! This takes the cake.

Kids might be shot. Trespassers deserve to get shot. Those are the messages I am hearing.

Instead of putting up a fence or other def methods they want to take our tax payer money for their private gardens

Yep. I agree with all of the above. I also think that Wolfson's email was a veiled threat to parents. Sort of like, if your kids are cutting through private properties, they are doing something bad. That's hardly the case. And, kids don't "trespass." So, they can't be killed along with the adult trespassers.
