During the Shared Parking Agreement Hearing, residents were not allowed to bring up any issues concerning costs. We tried to bring up the fact that we are paying from the same purse, but the Commissioners were making their decision on what is best for the Municipality. I don't believe the Zoning Hearing Board and the Planning Board made any exceptions for the School District. The Commissioners are now weighing the possibility of waiving the $587,000 inspection fees for the high school renovation. As Steve Feller said in the Trib this morning,

I would expect the most thorough possible inspections would be desirable for the safety of the high school students. The municipality is stepping up with increased inspection capacity for the large project scope. The School District needs to pay for the increased inspection cost accordingly. David Huston
Wow, Posti actually worried about a cost to the school district. That is the first time she worried about a cost since she appealed her own home assessment. Is it possible the district might have to disappoint the deadbeat athletic supporters if they don’t get the inspection fee waived by the Commissioners?
Wasn't it Tom Celli that wanted to charge $2.500/hour to work with the CAC free volunteers when they were analyzing the project?
Perhaps Jo is on the right track... lets asked the bond managers, the lawyers, the construction manager, the laborers, DeJong, and Celli/OPW to work at cost and refund some money! They'd be doing it for the kids.

Mr. Ewing, just thought Ms. Posti was onto a good idea.
Why not ask everyone and I mean everyone involved with the high school project to work at cost!
Its a novel idea-- its for the kids, for the community, for the state, for the country.
No need to be selective here, everyone should feel honored to contribute.
