Interesting, Elaine, but after Linfante cut you off to declare that her house "is off the market" - it was still listed as an active property on the realtor's website after the meeting. Maybe she did give instructions to remove it, but when she cut you off she treated you as if you should have known, but how could you or anyone else other than Linfante herself or her agent. Just another example of the total lack of civility the commission has for the public (not to mention the fact that you were speaking on public comment time and she had no right to interrupt -- she could, politely and respectfully simply informed you of her decision after you finished, but that is not the kind of civility they practice on the Mt. Lebanon Commission (but do please be courteous enough to others not to interrupt with applause or signs of support for speakers!)
It is time for the commission to play by the same rules they seek to impose on the rest of us -- enough with the "Let them eat cake" arrogance.
Also please note that NOT A SINGLE commissioner speaks up to stop the commissioners from interrupting and directing verbal abuse at members of the public in the public comment period. In addition to a definition of "fairness" the commission needs to adopt a definition of "civility" that includes their own conduct!
Watch how fast the gavel gets hammered if the audience make noises when a proponent for something the officials want speaks. Then watch how they sit with their thumbs... you know where... when an opponent speaks and the audience makes comments.
Ward 3 also has many Roycroft neighbors, but since Kristen decided to appeal their county assessments while exempting herself from such review, perhaps they will no longer support her either. Staying put, standing pat, and playing favorites that is what she knows. Unfortunately for Kristen, stonewalling the public is not a successful political strategy.
Isn't it amazing how the commissioners, while blaming the consultant, never explained in their own uniquely persuasive way, that they review the proposed tax-targets, by address and name (to protect the guilty and their friends)? The whole "policy" is just another abuse of local governmental power to punish those who are not in lock-step with the official program. Isn't this obvious by now?
10:29 is wrong, for many reasons, not the least of which is that diversity is what will open this community from the current monopoly of public policy by the far Left....note the diversity in the leadership of the Newcomers, several of whom have Spanish accents....so, 10:29 cure yourself of your insecurities and welcome your new allies, the world is much larger than you realize!

I am NOT! I want the California nut job to return to Mexifornia.
I don't get it. Why go through the aggravation if--oh, hell, nevermind.
I guess this means the open house scheduled for this weekend is cancelled.
Oh shit! Is it too late to make an offer?

That ward has many, many sports families. I suspect she will cruise to reelection.
Well, this sports family will never vote for her again!

Why is no one calling out the racist comment by 10:29?????
Guess what 10:29? The world into which our children are going into IS multi-cultural. It is not the intensely white world that is Lebo.
