I drove by Sen. Guy Reschenthaler's office today on Castle Shannon Blvd. and the place is empty except for the "For Rent " sign in the window. I wasn't able to see if he left a forwarding address on the door. Does anyone know where he is relocating?

He is relocating his two district offices to offer greater access around the district for his constituents. Constituent services is one of my top priorities, and I want to ensure that my offices are located conveniently to serve all area residents... except Mt. Lebanon ones. http://www.senatorreschenthaler.com/2017/01/04/reschenthaler-relocating-district-offices-to-robinson-township-bethel-park/
We're to go to Robinson for the coming weeks. Nice.
"Sen. Reschenthaler’s Mt. Lebanon District office has been closed and a new Bethel Park office will be opening in the coming weeks. Until that office opens, those needing assistance can call Sen. Reschenthaler’s Robinson Township office for service."
You nailed it 3:29. These folks want their giant govt right at their finger tips. They want to review every employee time card and they want their emails answered post-haste. Unfortunately, they've never been on the winning side of an issue so you and me end up paying for their endless grandstanding.
3:29 PM, I don't mind driving to Bethel Park. Would you mind telling me where "Coming soon in Bethel Park" is located? I can't seem to find it on my GPS.
8:56 PM, Matt Smith was on Castle Shannon Blvd. for quite a few years as state representative and as senator. Would that be an example of "giant govt right at their finger tips?"
Yes, you're right that I have never been on the winning side of an issue. I'm not one of the "cool kids," I guess. I expect my government to be fiscally responsible. My expectations must be too high. Tell me, 8:56 PM, are you really on the winning side? God Bless you. The Unity Rally is sure paying off. Elaine
"Everywhere there's lots of piggies Living piggy lives You can see them out for dinner With their piggy wives Clutching forks and knives to eat their bacon"
"Unity" doesn't mean agreeing on everything. And no "Coming soon in Bethel Park" would not be on your gps. But, are you planning on showing up to an office that's closed/in development? Guy isn't hiding, he's moving offices, and I'm sure you'll get the address in due time.
8:56, apparently you've never owned a business or worked for a company where you punched a clock or filled out a work schedule. Hate to break it to you, but your employer has every right to check your time cards and expect you to respond to their request as promptly as possible.
Who are these public servants employed by... wake the hell up... it's us. If they don't like the requirements and responsibilities of the job they have the right to find employment more to their liking elsewhere.
Get a grip 11:52. Can you hire a municipal employee? No. Can you fire a municipal employee? No. Can you set a work schedule for municipal employee? No. Do you sign their paychecks? No. Do you conduct their performance reviews? No.
Municipal employees are not public servants and YOU are not their employer.
Public Servant Law and Legal Definition A public servant is generally a person who is employed by the government, either through appointment or election. Examples include, among others, police officers, paid and volunteer firefighters, health officers, the public works director and designees, city clerk and designees, code enforcement personnel, and other city personnel authorized to enforce city ordinances, statutes, and codes.
The following is one state's definition of a public servant:
Everyone who is a chief executive of, or a statutory officer or employee in, a Department in the Public Service is a public servant. Contractors in a Department who are not employees are not public servants. __________

Hey 2:39, try employing your municipal employees without taxpayer dollars. The definition of a public servant is a government official or employee.
Unless your employees volunteer their work for free they work for us and we have every right to request information regarding their performance.
"It is only when there is the supervision and critical oversight from the people that the government will be in a position to do an even better job, and employees of government departments will be the true public servants of the people." —— Wen Jiabao
"What the public hates the most is when they think the politicians aren't listening to them. They understand that we can't solve all their problems with a snap of our fingers, but they sure want us to try because we are public servants." — Chuck Schumer
"Public servants are paid to serve the American people. Do it well." — Donald Rumsfeld
"Public servants should always be accountable and responsible for what they are advocating, and I challenge the American people to demand this from their representatives." — John Fleming
"Data indicate that taxpayers may be paying their public servants more than a little too much." — Jason Chaffetz
I like that last one. If I'm paying someone that means that I'm employing that someone therefore making them my employee!
But let's say you're right 2:39 and try a simple test.
Let's take away all taxpayer-related money, office space, phones, equipment, healthcare, pension plans, etc., etc., from the MTL magazine and see how long it survives on its own. After you claim we're not the staffs' employers so why should we foot the bill for all of that?
Oh, I don't know, 2:39 PM. I think 3:37 PM got you there! Merriam-Webster is Buchanan Ingersoll's go-to when it comes to definitions.
I do know that the commissioners cannot fire Susan Morgans or any other municipal employee other than Keith McGill. But that's not to say that the commissioners have no say in the process. They could put pressure on Keith and then at that point, Keith would have to make a choice. The commissioners can hire or fire the manager, but no one else. Elaine
Someone gives you two definitions of public servant, another listed some quotes, and you call them stupid and immature? I know you love to attack me, so that goes without saying. Do you feel better now, 6:38 PM? Elaine

Thanks for researching this, 11:55 AM.

Maybe Guy got sick of sniffing the fryer grease stench emanating from Caliente's exhaust fan.
Maybe Guy got sick of dealing with whiny Lebo bloggers and their trivial RTK pursuits.
Yeah, that must be it, 1:27 PM. Thanks. I'm flattered.
Elaine
1:27, are those whiners the people that are afraid of a few deer and their little just can't go to school in a school without air conditioning?
Just the fact that you think he MUST have an office in Mt. Lebanon.. Too good to drive into Bethel?

There we go, there's 6:38's position on Unity, neighborliness and respect.
I wonder if we were seated next to them in a restaurant they would smack us on the head.
