How many will unsubscribe?

It is well known by Lebo Citizen readers that I unsubscribed from the Post-Gazette because of Outdoor Editor John Hayes. Recently, many Democrats unsubscribed from the PG because of its endorsement of Rick Saccone. How many will unsubscribe from the Trib because of this featured commentary?

Katy Pavlich: Hillary Clinton's bitterness continues

Considering that the Trib has always leaned well to the right, probably not to many. A “popular” blogger with her finger on the pulse of Pittsburgh should know that, right?

One thing I noticed about the "always leaned well to the right" Trib is that they supported Conor Lamb.

Odds of getting coverage of your Pittsburgh Magazine nomination by the Mount Lebanon Public Information Office are bleak, Elaine.

As "a 'popular' blogger with my finger on the pulse of Pittsburgh,' I already know that, 8:43 AM. :D

Getting back to the subject of the thread, I doubt that Katie Pavlich's column will cause a lot of defection from the Trib. In 2016 both major parties offered candidates for president that were the most unpopular choices this country has seen in at least the last 100 years, so when Pavlich opines that Clinton is "...tearing apart the Democrat party.." she could say the same thing about Trump and the Republican party and be just as correct.

Since the subject has been adduced, while the P-G may have endorsed Saccone and the Trib Lamb, overall the P-G is still largely identified as a Democratic newspaper because the majority of its writers identify with that party. Conversely, the Trib remains largely a Republican outlet and will likely stay that way.

Mr. Gideon,

I don't know a lot about the Trib except that it has historically been a Republican newspaper. Remember Scaife? Are his kids still fighting over his money?

As to the P-G, the lefty reporters are gone or are packing their bags. I don't think it is because of the Saccone endorsement. The lefties have been working on their exit plans for quite a while.
