What does a MTLSD Capital Campaign Director make?

A Right To Know request was filed for the employment contract for the new Capital Campaign Director position.

Ms. DeLuca did not enter into or execute an employment contract. However, she did sign an offer letter dated July 23, 2013. Enclosed please find a copy of that letter. For the reasons set forth above, her home address has been redacted.

It is a sweet deal. No wonder we are where we are financially.

A second Right To Know request for her employment record, reveals no work experience with PA Cyber. Different person with the same name.

Her resume was laid out August 13 on your first post about her. It's on LinkedIn if you're a member.

Most anyone would have signed that document. Base pay plus benefits: Sweeeeeeeeeeet! Probably some travel and expense reimbursements also.

Forgive me, 1:14 PM. I have trust issues with MTLSD and certain former school board members. This didn't help either.

Does she have to belong to the teachers union to work for the district? The benefits look like teacher benefits for what could be a short-time employee.

Why is she employed with teacher benefits if PK is charging $982,000 in fees? Why isn't PK paying her from their cut?

The salary is reasonable for a qualified fundraiser but there are too many questions about this employment contract to support this kind of OVERPRICED STUPID benefit sending.

I am very confused...
A number of questions are in my mind...

Is she a full-time employee or a contractor?

Anyone whose worked in D.C. has heard about the many consulting firms that hire someone "full time for the duration of the contract." Ahem. Why don't they just call it what it is - part time work?

What happens at the end of her employment term? Will she resign, be terminated or does the job vaporize?

Would she be eligible for PA unemployment benefits when her job "ends"?

I wouldn't be surprised when her term ends that she will remain for another term, another term, another term,... In other words, I have a feeling that this is a permanent add to the district payroll.

I don't think the job is going away, John.

Mme. Moderator: It might occur to some that what the school district really needs is a management consultant on how to control the budget they have, not a further expense in the pursuit of limitless spending. Perhaps, if there is any new hiring, there should be a permanent hire for a new deputy superintendent for fiscal management (since our incumbent superintendent does not seem to much know or care about that). Then again, some might be cynical.

The letter is about her sweet heart full time job with the MTLSD for only the Pursuing Ketchup-related fundraising fiasco. What is her compensation package for her additional job as Exec. Dir of MLFE ?
The letter doesn't cover that. Guess it will require another RTK to answer that because the feckless SB probably doesn't know. The MLFE is controlled by the MTLSD, but is a separate corporate entity [a 501(c)(3)].

Excellent point, 5:14 PM. How much does that job pay? What are the job objectives? Who does she report to? Timmy or Pursuing Ketchup? What is PK doing now? Are they done? Is there any accountability? Any quotas to achieve? Goals? MBOs? Ever hear of SMART and SMARTER?

The same board who issued Timmy's goals, are managing this fire drill.

4:19- the offer letter came from the HR director indicating her relationship is that of an employee, not a contracted agent. Note the benefit package. Teachers do not get vacation days. She is probably an Act 93 employee reporting directly to the head honcho and should have a written job description and performance standards. Act 93 employees do not have union protection. The position can go away (or stay) at the pleasure of the board. If she produces, she has a chance to stay since there will always be a need for more income in the District. If she is a really good producer, she can write her ticket elsewhere for far more money.

Have to love a totally unaccountable and incompetent school board just willy-nilly creating jobs with public financing. Those people are out of control, like children who found a bag of sugar.

3:33 you say her salary is reasonable for a qiualified fund raiser?
Care to to fill us in on the going rate for fundraising coordinators in Western PA public schools?
Does USC have one? How about North Allegheny, Fox Chapel, Bethel?
How much do fundraisers make at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History? Do they get 15 paid vacation days in the first year? $40,000 life insurance? A healthcare plan anywhere near the cost and coverage?
Ms. DeLuca's old job should be listed soon at the museum, it'll be interesting to see the compensation being offered.

School district administrators and contract personnel are richly rewarded for keeping the status quo! This is what we tax payers are paying for! It is disgusting!

3:33... The Agnes Irwin Private School ($56 million in assets) in hotty totty Bryn Marw, PA (Philadelphia) has a Capital Campaign Coordinators position listed. Starting salary $42,000.
This in an area of the state with a higher cost-of-living than Pittsburgh.
Still think there is a jutification for $82,500+?!

Look up Capital Campaign Coordinator salaries in Google. Glassdoor will have the Agnes Irwin listing.

Actuall Agnes Irwin Private School is in Rosemont, NEXT to Bryn Mawr College and Villanova University. Founded in 1856. An exusive school with tuitition ranging from $20,000 to $29,000 according to Wiki.
So a Capital Campaign Coordinator most likely would need to run in somwe very exclusive circles.

Why doesn't the offer letter say anything about performance expectations ( like an expectation of reaching a contribution goal )?

Oops! I forgot, school district employees don't have to worry about performance reviews.

Honestly, I really don't like this newly created position, but I'd feel better if it was at least a performance based compensation structure.

Mr. Kendrick every district employee achieves or exceeds expectations don'cha ya know!
You remember the PK fundraising study, initially the goal was set at $30 million, then $15 million, now $6 million.
Same as the renovation, close to $90 million, then upped to just over $100 million. Now it won't exceed $113.4 million.
Sticking to numbers just doesn't count in Lebo. The pool renovation was suppose to be $3.5 million.
