Timmy's Sampling of Community Opinion UPDATED 7:50 PM

Timmy's Key Communicators group has always intrigued me. Do a search on Lebo Citizens to get some background. Timmy likes to refer to it as a "sampling of community opinion." It helps him understand and proactively manage issues. Through a Right To Know, an updated list of members of Timmy's Super Secret Task Force is available here.

2016-2017 Key Communicators

Elaine Cappucci is back to help Timmy "understand" and "manage issues." Now I understand the Aviva Diamond Smear Campaign.

Update October 5, 2017 7:50 PM Timmy just retweeted:

Still waiting for Timmy's Timeline, which he and Mary Birks promised to put on the Capital Campaign website weeks ago. Yesterday, I ended up filing a RTK for it.

Looking at the list of key communicators it looks like the same players that were involved in or supported the fundraiser.
One would think a smart man would look at the pathetic fundraising numbers and think... 🤔 maybe I should communicte with some of the people that said the fundraiser wouldn’t work as advertised.
Nah, Dr. S wouldn’t ever think perhaps he needs some new thinking.

Aside from the lack of transparency from the superintendent and the board leadership here is something that taxpayers should consider.
In fact it may be more important regarding your personal bottom line than the flawed fundraising campaign.

It seems that our beloved school district has become a money junkie looking for bigger and bigger fixes every year even though it is no longer the number one district.

“Mt. Lebanon School District (left) asked to raise property taxes by more than $17 million above the rate of inflation over the past 10 years. That’s more than any other Allegheny County school district.”

He key communicators, how about communicating that when conversations get around to 6% raises and generous bonuses!

Key commumicators...haha...."hi, everyone. Please tell me what I want to hear."
Total fraud like everything else they do.

Let’s see, Dr. Steinhauer has his key communicators and his youthful pizza lunch advisors.
Maybe he needs to start hanging around with a different group of people.

Here’s more from the new pittsburghcourieronline article.

“In Allegheny County, 35 of the 43 school districts requested and were approved for an exception in the past 10 years. The Mt. Lebanon School District was approved for $17 million in exceptions, the most of any school district in the county. It was followed by the North Allegheny and Pine-Richland school districts. All three are among the state’s 40 wealthiest school districts.
However, those districts also demonstrate the differences between how often the exceptions are actually used.

Even though Pine-Richland was approved to raise property taxes above inflation six times in nine years, it increased its property tax rate three times. Mt. Lebanon increased property taxes at least six times and requested a hike above inflation every year.

State funding can’t keep up”

Unfortunately, Gov. Wolf and democratic legislators would like you believe it can if you’ll just let them raise taxes in Harrisburg just one more time.

Pathetic!
As long as Steinhauer gets his 6% raises, generous pension contributions and lavish bonuses he’ll continue doing what he’s always done.
Through his tenure as Super the district has been basically stagnant, no jump in the rankings for instance, except for taxes and spending.

It’s funny though, parents and a certain legislator clamor for smaller elementary classroom sizes and more special ed the board and the administration focus on celebrating past sports achievements with its purchase of trophy cases and a Hall of Fame mural.

How this for some key communicating Dr. S/Board... focus on academics for the good of kids in the system and those yet to come!

Artificial turf and $20,000 murals don’t cut it.
