If we could just be as good as Dormont...

Did you know that Dormont live streams their commission meetings?

Borough Council Meeting Live Stream
Tuesday, September 06, 2016 at 8:00 AMPlease join us online for tonight's Borough Council meeting at 7:00 PM. To make it easier for residents to stay engaged with their local government, we will now be live streaming our meetings. Please visit https://dormontpa.iqm2.com for a calendar of meetings, with links for agendas and agenda packets. When a meeting is taking place, a "Live Meeting" banner will be prominently displayed. After the meeting, a copy of the video will also be available.
Wow! Dormont has State Rep. Dan Miller's Right To Know Event posted under Community Events.

Will Mt. Lebanon do that? I doubt it. Susan Morgans thinks they are being "transparent enough."

No Elaine. That's not it. Dormont can't rival the gripping life of our public information officer; therefore, Dormont's web page is filled with less captivating information.

No drinking parties under Community Events in Dormont. There was one tonite at the Lebo uptown block party.

I was just thinking about that "transparent enough" comment, as I ready to make the case that they all need to be fired.

For one brief period of time, they did livestream but it was unintentionally. When it came to the awareness of the nice lady that manages the videos, she said, "OH! It's not supposed to do that!". This was a couple of years ago. Many school boards also livestream their meetings, too. Will Mt Lebanon catch up with modern times? The capability is there, but the will is....
