Rodella was fired.

"Rodella was fired." That comment was just approved. It was a response to Anonymous at 6:33 PM April 28, 2017 under Anonymous letter from the inside.

Anonymous shared a link to a job posting for a Girls' Volleyball Coach in the 6:33 PM comment.

So who is Joe Rodella? I never met the guy, but Joe Rodella, former school board president and Pitt's hockey coach was hired to replace the girls' volleyball coach who was fired because of sexual misconduct. Despicable UPDATED 3X. Certainly, a hockey coach would be the logical hire for a girls' volleyball coaching position. Joe has also been in the news. PA Cyber connections prompt inquiry
Rodella is also on the Mt. Lebanon Community Endowment Board. Mt. Lebanon Community Endowment Board of Directors as indicated in the Anonymous letter from the inside

If my memory is correct, Mr. Rodella was a school board member with Cappucci and at that time there was some talk about partnering with PA Cyber to develop some student instructional software using Lebo teachers to develop it.
Rodella's son like Cappucci's QBed for the football team.

9:15 PM, I wasn't following anything in 2007, so I have to rely on the PG's coverage of the school board elections. Back in the day when they did that sort of thing. I found this article where it said that Rodella wasn't running, but Elaine Cappucci was entering the political scene.
Campaign 2007/South: Nine seeking five seats in Mt. Lebanon; race has no one theme

12:24 AM, thanks for the link. The list of supporters is an interesting mix!

Hope Bob Lee has had a change of heart since supporting the Come Together rally!

I think a few people have had a change of heart since supporting the Come Together rally.

What is really funny is that things in Mt. Lebanon and especially the school district are about as divisive and contentious as they ever have been since the Come Together rally.

Some of that can be attributed to it's just the way things in politics all the way up to the Federal level, but one thing is for sure, Coming Together didn't last long locally.

and the reason Rodella was fired ?

We had the Unity rally because Trump won. We had the Come Together rally because Obama won. Both spearheaded by Dems.
We are no more united now then we were in 2009 ! I'd like to know why Mr. Rodella was fired. Were the parents of the volleyball team notified ?

We shall see if there has been a change after the primary and a decision is made to turf the HS practice field at the estimated cost of $1,000,000.

8:09, isn't it funny that through the rallys the same names keep popping up and there aren't any explanations or retrospection?

The more things change the more they stay the same.

Hired at Cappucci recommended to Timmy. Man had no business on a volleyball court.

Lebo Citizens said...

2:15 PM, are you saying that Elaine Cappucci was behind this hire too? Why did Timmy listen to her? Why did the Board stand still for all of this? How corrupt IS the Timmy Ticket?

Your right Elaine. More is coming to the surface. Whats next?

Is anyone starting to see what I have been saying for a very long time? Timmy has to go. Who is the common denominator when I write about Cappucci and Birks? Timmy.

These guys brought you Vajayjay Way. See Fake Lebo. https://www.facebook.com/fakelebo/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE&fref=nf April 27, 2017 for the photo. Mary Birks voted for Katie Caste instead of Stephen Strotmeyer because there weren't enough women on the school board. Mary, women will be forever immortalized at the high school.

The Primary is a little more than two weeks away. What will Timmy and the Timmy Ticket be caught doing next? Stay tuned.

Try and access a satellite view of the "new" high school. It used to be that the education areas dwarfed the athletics and arts wings.

Now the education areas are a small percentage of the area in relation to to the athletic wings, cafeteria, theaters and administration offices.

A pretty good representation that the district has lost its focus.
Before anyone responds that doesn't mean mean that the arts and athletics are not an important piece of our kids education, just wondering how many millions are going to maybe the wrong focus.

Can any parents of Girls' Volleyball tell me if Rodella's firing was made public? Mt. Lebanon doesn't typically fire anyone. What happened?

I understand where you are coming from but I would not lump arts and athletics in the same category.

Thank you S, let's call them extracurricular activities then.
With that, I think no one will debate that most Lebo taxpayers want and expect exposing our students to the widest range of experiences, both academic and extracurricular.

What I find odd for example is that the board will immediately jump on spending $1,000,000 to turf a PRACTICE FIELD when people like Rep. Miller think we need to do more in Special Education.

Side note: in The Almanac there is a story about Bethel turfing a soccer field. Costs is projected at $300,000-$400,000. They also applied for a grant of $40,000.
Why is our practice field estimated to cost $1,000,000 did thecommissioners explore grants when they turf the crown jewel?

Correction @ 10:41.

"The project already received a $40,000 grant from U.S. Soccer Foundation, but that will only cover part of the estimated construction cost of $200,000 to $300,000. Bethel Park also hopes to receive a state grant, but it won’t know until later this year whether the state selected the municipality for the competitive grant."

Not $300,000 to $400,000.

Again so why is the practice field which isn't much bigger if at all than a soccer field estimated by the board to be $1,000,000? Plus shouldn't some of the cost to recover this practice field be in the HS renovation budget since they used it as a staging area and destroyed the original field?

Do we really want the incumbent board overseeing another sports project?

There has been zero discussion at the School Board level about turfing the practice field. If you folks continue to get your news from this blog, you will continue to look like fools. Stop listening to the cranks who are only here to give you high blood pressure.

3:45 PM, I am ending this once and for all. Check out page 20. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9r_1biKte_bTW5Td1h5a2N2dUk/edit
I am tired of your rude comments and how you continue to insult the blog readers.

Also, 2:24 PM, please stop going off topic. This is about Joe Rodella being fired and not about turfing the practice field. Don't bother arguing about whether it is on or off topic. Give it a rest.

3:45pm, do you prefer self-interested outlets like MTL Magazine, or deer-hating journalists covering deer management?

Misinformed, uninformed or just out an out deceptive 3:45?

No wonder the same names like Rodella, Cappucci keep popping up.

10:41, I don't know if the commissioners explored grants for the Middle/WildCat fields but the Mt. Lebanon Community Endowment did give a grant of $113,462 to Mt. Lebanon for a field improvement project.
