The polls open in less than thirty minutes.
The time has come to elect the Mt. Lebanon School Board. You now have more choices for the Mt. Lebanon School Board since others have entered the race through a write-in campaign. If you support the write-in campaign, please take this handout to the polls. Whatever you decide, please vote today!

My wife and I voted at 8:00am. The nice Poll Captain lady told us we were numbers four and five, as of that time. She was “pretty bummed.”
Food for thought: The population of Mt. Lebanon is 33,137 (Municipal Financial Report), and there are 25,536 registered voters (according to Allegheny County, as of the May Primary). Of the registered voters, 22,307 are partisan (registered as Republicans or Democrats). In the May Primary, 5,617 registered voters bothered to vote, that number representing 25.18% of the partisan voters.
Perhaps Ms. Gillen could run a contest: Guess the Turnout! The person coming closest to the actual number of people voting in Mt. Lebanon wins an all-expenses paid night in the Municipal Building.
Good idea! Maybe the winning commissioners can split the cost of parking.
Richard, I was number ten in my district. I was the only one voting at the time. I was there a long time since I was typing in write ins everywhere I could. Gave a piece of my mind to Mr. Kubit when he, for the first time ever, said hello to me.

I had to be at work early so I couldn't hit the polls early... but I'll be sure to be there this afternoon.
I can't miss the opportunity to say to those handing out campaign literature "I"m sorry, I don't vote for communists." :)

This just might be an election the experts will want to study.
That people aren't necessarily swayed by the two main stream parties and the reach of instant and free (as in dollars) marketing communications via the internet.

Word on the street is that all the polls are reporting a large number of people writing in candidates' names.

You're a good sport! I posted on my private Gideon Family web site that, due to the write-ins, I thought the turn-out might be between 30% to 33%. Maybe that was too optimistic, but I'll stick with it. So I'll take 30% at 7,660. I'm thinking the write-ins will prompt both sides in the "District debate" to get out and vote.
There were 128 voters by 5pm at the table I went to at my polling place (Washington School). The poll workers said that they felt for the weather, the turnout was very light.
It's rather sad since this election has more of a direct impact on people's daily lives than voting for President.
At 3:00 PM today, my district at Foster School only had a 10% turnout. Polls are closed now. We won't know the results of the write-ins until possibly tomorrow. At least that is what I heard.
