We don't want to give the wrong impression... Correction and UPDATE

We have goats, donkeys, and deer in Bird Park. This is what is posted along Washington Road:

There are two of these signs posted in the Beadling parking lot:

We're cool and progressive looking on Washington Road, but we're down and dirty on Beadling. I get it.

Correction September 20, 2015 2:36 PM "Elaine—I am sorry if my notes re: the Bird park photos were not clear. There are no signs about hunting or goats on Washington. The only signs on Wash. are the ones that have been there forever. The goat signs are in at one of the entrances to Bird Park in the Beadling Parking Lot. Washington Road remains pure."

There are two fences surrounding the goat area. One is a pretty cheesy looking in the color orange. Behind the organce3 fence, there s a silver fence. It is an electric fence. Why is that for? The goats? That'll keep them in line.

Here's the truth about the goats. The nature conservancy wanted them and presented the idea via Tom S to Steve F. Steve F never told the commission about the idea but simply wrote a sentence about it in an AR report that is sent out on Fridays. Many, many months later, Kelly F was talking to moi about the condition of a local park and what Sandy the deer ODAY thought about them. I told her about how the goats could solve that problem. Kelly F had no idea bout the goats, the conservancy, etc but she was highly interested. Shortly after this May conversation, we now have the goats. But actually not in the local park that Kelly and the deer lady were concerned about. Sigh.

1:41 PM, which local park were Sandy Baker and Kelly Fraasch concerned about?

I don't know the answer to that, Elaine. But, it seems to me that the only reason they are not killing in Bird Park this time is because of the goats. That is the only thing that is different from last time when Bird was a killing field.

Elaine at 2:45 pm. Kelly F told me that Sandy Baker was concerned about the invasive growth at Twin Hills and the devastation to the trees there. She had gone there with Kelly F. I don't know if she went to Bird Park as well and had the same concern there. However, Kelly F only told me about Twin Hills.

The Nature Conservancy reportedly wanted areas clear in both Bird Park & TH. In TH currently the bulldozer clearing is evident in a section near the entrance but there is no sign that goats will be sent there when they are finished with Bird Park.
