Wendy's is closed

I just tried to go through Wendy's Drive Thru on Mt. Lebanon Blvd. and saw that all the signs had been removed. An employee told me that the store was closed permanently because sales were down.

Wow. We got food there on Friday or Saturday. That's a bummer. I wonder if archers roaming Mt. Lebanon was a reason for their drop in sales. We may not see the worst of it for a while but especially if sharpshooting is added to Mt. Lebanon's artillery, businesses will close and home values will drop.

But... It's so close to the home of MTL's Ward 4 commissioner... this must be a mistake.

Terrible news. Nobody could afford to eat out anymore. They needed to save their money to pay the school taxes.

From my experience the service there was absolutely horrible, I'm not surprised the place shut down. McDonald's is much worse, maybe they'll be next, probably not though.

Bad service is something I've seen at that Wendy's and the one on Cochran Rd (the service there is so poor, I refused to ever go back).

I think the lack of caring of the staff plus the trend to more healthy food is really putting the crunch on fast food. I would say Chick-Fil-A is bucking that trend but they're doing it because of good service.

Not a Wendy's fan myself. I opened that restaurant either back at the end of 1981 or beginning of 1982
